Welcome to Drayton Parslow

This village was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as having just 15 residents. The ‘Parslow’ part probably refers to an early Norman lord of the manor.

The Holy Trinity church dates back to the 14th century and the population were mainly farmers and agricultural workers for many centuries. In the 17th century, the bell foundry was created by the Chandler family. This is where the modern-day Bell Close gets its name from. Holy Trinity church even has a Chandler bell to this day.

The Camp was formed here during World War 2, which is where Prospect Close is today. It acted as an extension of Bletchley Park but was also used to house prisoners of war and displaced persons. After the war, it was used as a training centre for the Post Office and as a hostel for workers from the nearby brick works.

The Three Horseshoes pub puts on quiz nights, free pool on Mondays, as well as theme nights, and B&B rooms. The Sports & Social Club has been running for over 30 years as another community venue. Greenacre Hall is a modern building that can seat 90 people and has parking for 30 cars, ideal for hiring for events. The Baptist Chapel and C of E church also both provide space for the community, either for religious or secular purposes, like the Drayton Parslow Singers weekly rehearsals. The village also has a book club, First Friday club, a Post Office, as well as allotments, the recreation field, multi-use games areas, and a cricket pitch.

The village school takes children from Reception to Year 2.
